The Jharkhand government has great news for farmers: they are providing a 50% subsidy on tractors under the Jharkhand State Tractor Scheme. This benefit is available to farmers associated with water panchayats, self-help groups, farmer groups, LAMPS-PACS, and farmer organizations. The government is continuously striving to increase farmers' income and agricultural productivity in Jharkhand by encouraging the use of agricultural machinery.
Under this scheme, farmers who purchase tractors along with agricultural equipment will receive a 50% subsidy from the Jharkhand government. Farmers will be provided with a package worth ₹10 lakhs, which includes two agricultural implements. The Jharkhand Agriculture Department has issued orders related to this scheme. According to the department, ₹80 crores will be spent in the first phase of this scheme. Over the next two years, the government plans to distribute more than 1,100 tractors.
Application Process: Farmers can apply for this scheme by contacting their District Agriculture Office or by visiting the Land Conservation Office. The application deadline is July 3rd. Priority will be given to farmers who own 10 acres or more of arable land. Additionally, farmers must have a valid license to operate a tractor.
