The women beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana will receive their November installment of ₹1,250 in financial assistance soon. On November 9, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will transfer ₹1,574 crore directly into the bank accounts of 1.29 crore women beneficiaries from Indore. Since the launch of the scheme in June 2023, a total of 17 monthly installments have been provided to eligible women through October 2024. Additionally, a special financial assistance of ₹250 was given in August 2023 and 2024. Initially, beneficiaries received a monthly amount of ₹1,000, which was increased to ₹1,250 in October 2023.
The Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana 2023 aims to promote women’s economic self-reliance, improve their health and nutrition, and strengthen their role in family decision-making. For the fiscal year 2024-25, the scheme has been allocated approximately ₹18,984 crore, underscoring its significance in advancing comprehensive women’s empowerment.
The State’s Largest DBT Scheme as a Symbol of Respect for Women: The Ladli Bahna Yojana has become the state’s largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme, playing a pivotal role in empowering women. Through this initiative, women are not only able to meet their minor financial needs but are also becoming acquainted with banking systems. This has strengthened their role in family decision-making and contributed to their increased social standing and respect.
