Madhya Pradesh, 1516 new procurement centers have been opened for the purchase of paddy and coarse grains

The Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection has announced the establishment of 1412 procurement centers for paddy and 104 centers for coarse grains (sorghum and pearl millet) to ensure convenience for farmers. The procurement of sorghum and pearl millet began on November 22, while paddy procurement will commence on December 2.

  13. Datia: 7 centers
  14. Gwalior: 6 centers
  15. Harda: 3 centers
  16. Vidisha: 2 centers
  17. Morena: 2 centers
  18. Balaghat: 185 centers
  19. Satna: 144 centers
  20. Jabalpur: 125 centers

Sorghum and Pearl Millet Procurement Centers by District:

  1. Rewa: 2 centers
  2. Singrauli: 3 centers
  3. Bhind: 20 centers
  4. Datia: 4 centers
  5. Gwalior: 12 centers
  6. Morena: 51 centers
  7. Narmadapuram, Shahdol, Panna, Narsinghpur, Sidhi, Sagar, Betul, Shivpuri, Vidisha, Barwani, Sheopur, and Burhanpur: 1 center each

Procurement at MSP Rates:

The Minister, Shri Govind Singh Rajput, stated that under the Kharif Marketing Season 2024-25, procurement of sorghum and pearl millet at Minimum Support Prices (MSP) began on November 22 and will continue until December 20. Sorghum (Maldandi): ₹3421 per quintal, Sorghum (Hybrid): ₹3371 per quintal, Pearl Millet: ₹2625 per quintal.
