The Madhya Pradesh government has announced that the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal River Linking project has been signed under the initiative of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Under his leadership, the Ken-Betwa Link Project will be inaugurated on December 25. Both of these projects will be highly beneficial for the state of Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav made this statement during a review meeting at Samatv Bhavan, regarding the progress of public welfare camps in Sagar, Ujjain, Gwalior, and Chambal divisions.
Dr. Yadav emphasized that it was only due to the efforts of Prime Minister Modi that the implementation of these river linking projects became possible. These initiatives will significantly increase irrigation facilities and ensure a steady supply of drinking water in the Malwa and Bundelkhand regions. The Chief Minister instructed that art and debate competitions on water conservation be organized in schools to raise awareness. He also advised legislators from the benefiting areas to inform local residents about the advantages of these projects and encourage the judicious use of water.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the ongoing Jan Kalyan Campaign, which aims to ensure the benefits of welfare schemes reach every household in the state. He instructed representatives and officials to ensure that no welfare-related work remains pending at any level. Teams involved in the campaign have been directed to conduct house-to-house surveys and collect applications, with active participation from elected representatives. Dr. Yadav emphasized prioritizing surveys related to the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme.
