Madhya Pradesh Weather Update: Rise in Temperature Expected, Heatwave Likely in April

After several days of rain, hailstorms, and strong winds, the weather in Madhya Pradesh is now clearing up. Temperatures are expected to rise in the coming days, and by the second week of April, heatwave conditions may develop. The end of the month could see extreme heat across many parts of the state.

Over the past few days, western disturbances and cyclonic circulation had caused weather changes across Madhya Pradesh. However, their effect is now fading. From Friday onwards, temperatures may increase in several districts, and cloudy skies may be seen in places like Bhopal.

Here are some recorded temperatures from various districts:

1. Seoni: 28.2°C
2. Umaria: 29.3°C
3. Sidhi: 30.8°C
4. Pachmarhi: 31°C
5. Rewa: 32°C
6. Chhindwara: 32.1°C

Narmadapuram recorded the highest temperature at 40.2°C.

Major cities:

1. Bhopal: 36.4°C
2. Indore: 37°C
3. Gwalior: 36.7°C
4. Ujjain: 38.5°C
5. Jabalpur: 30.3°C

According to the weather department, light rain may occur in the first week of April. However, from the second week onward, hot and dry winds are likely to blow. By the end of the month, temperatures may cross 45°C, and a heatwave could last for 7 to 10 days.

Rain and Hail Alert in Several Other States:

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also predicted rain and hail in various states. On April 4, Jharkhand may experience rainfall with hail. On April 5, similar conditions are expected in northeastern states like Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Scattered heavy rain is likely in Kerala, Mahe, and South Interior Karnataka until April 6. Rain is also expected in Tamil Nadu from April 3 to 5, and Coastal Karnataka may receive heavy rainfall on April 4.
