According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Pune and Nagpur in Maharashtra witnessed temperatures soaring to 42 degrees Celsius yesterday. Similar temperatures are expected today in these cities. Furthermore, numerous districts in Madhya Pradesh weather update have also recorded temperatures surpassing 40 degrees Celsius, including Balaghat, Burhanpur, Betul, Khandwa, Jabalpur, Satna, and Seoni. The IMD forecasts that the heatwave is expected to continue in several regions of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema, and Karnataka until April 8. Meanwhile, coastal areas of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal may experience hot and humid weather conditions. Additionally, warmer nights are expected in parts of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Karnataka. The IMD predicts dry weather in most cities today, with a gradual increase in temperatures by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next two days. As the heatwave persists, citizens are advised to stay hydrated, avoid outdoor activities during peak hours, and take necessary precautions to prevent heat-related illnesses.
