Mining conclave will fulfill Prime Minister Modi's vision of Developed India-2047

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that the state government is organizing a Mining Conclave on October 17-18, 2024, in Bhopal to advance Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for a Developed India-2047. This significant event will showcase the immense potential of mining, oil, gas, and mineral-based industries in the state, which are expected to serve as the backbone of development.

Economic Prosperity and Employment through Mineral Wealth:

Dr. Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh is rich in mineral resources and plays a crucial role in the country's mining sector. It is the only state in India that produces diamonds and is a leader in the production of manganese and copper ore. Additionally, the state ranks second in rock phosphate production, third in limestone production for the cement industry, and fourth in coal production. Madhya Pradesh also holds the second position in coal bed methane (CBM) production.

The mineral-based industries in Madhya Pradesh are expected to boost economic prosperity and create employment opportunities within the state. All stakeholders, including industry leaders and mining experts, have been invited to participate.

Distinguished Guests at the Conclave:

The Conclave will feature the presence of Union Mining Minister Mr. G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of State Mr. S.C. Dubey, and the Secretary of the Union Ministry of Mines. The event is expected to attract over 600 representatives, including delegates from major companies such as NCL, HCL, NMDC, ONGC, and GAIL, as well as industrialists from other states.

Promoting Innovation and Investment in Mining:

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized that the Conclave will foster collaboration and innovation in the mineral industry. It aims to highlight Madhya Pradesh's rich mineral resources and attract investments to the state. Discussions will encompass the prospects of coal, limestone, oil and gas, and other key minerals. Additionally, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning in mining will be a focal point.

Focus on AI and Key Mineral Resources: The event will also concentrate on digital transformation, energy security, and sustainability, including discussions on the automation of mining operations and the application of AI and machine learning. The possibilities of alternative energy sources like coal bed methane (CBM) will be explored. A roundtable meeting will be held to engage in in-depth discussions on issues related to cement, energy, and mineral-based industries. Moreover, several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) will be signed during the Conclave, formalizing investment proposals aimed at strengthening the state's mining infrastructure.
