Weather Alert for June 4: Heavy Rain Expected in These States

With the onset of the monsoon season, significant weather changes are occurring across various regions. Today, on June 4, there is a persistent likelihood of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya. Additionally, there is a heavy rainfall alert for Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh weather, Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala and Mahe, Telangana, and Karnataka.

Furthermore, isolated places in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Madhya Maharashtra may experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and squally winds with speeds of 50-60 kmph. Similarly, regions in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, and Marathwada are likely to witness thunderstorms and lightning with gusty winds reaching 40-50 kmph. Thunderstorms or dust storms with wind speeds of 30-40 kmph are also expected at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi.

Rainfall Forecast for the Coming Days in June:

The weather forecast for the upcoming days predicts light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) in Punjab and Haryana from June 4-6, in Uttar Pradesh from June 4-5, and in Rajasthan from June 5-7. Additionally, isolated heavy rainfall is expected in south Madhya Maharashtra on June 4 and 8, and in south Konkan and Goa on June 8.

Dust storms are likely in Uttar Pradesh on June 4, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi on June 4-5, and East Rajasthan on June 7.

Areas Impacted by Yesterday's Rainfall: Yesterday, various parts of Kerala witnessed heavy rainfall, including Vellarikkundu, Aralam, Panathur, Alapuzha, and Kannur. Similarly, heavy rainfall was recorded in Assam and Meghalaya, particularly in Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Cherrapunji, Rangia, and Shillong. Significant rainfall was observed in Kailashahar, Tripura, and in Seoni, Indore, Ujjain, and Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh.

Rainfall Reaches More States: Most places in Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Mahe received rainfall. Additionally, some areas in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal also experienced rainfall.
