  2. Total Irrigated Area: 30,218 hectares
  3. Key Beneficiary Regions: 100 villages in Ujjain and Shajapur districts
  4. Pipeline Length: 200 kilometers
  5. Pumping Stations: 6 pumping stations with 50 pump motor sets
  6. Per Drop-More Crop Technology: Efficient irrigation using drip and sprinkler systems

A Historic Step for Irrigation in MP:

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized that Madhya Pradesh, home to over 250 rivers, is witnessing a new era of water management. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, long-pending interstate river disputes have been resolved, paving the way for major river-linking projects like Ken-Betwa and Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal. These projects will boost irrigation capacity and significantly benefit farmers in the state.

Increased Wheat MSP and Subsidy for Dairy Farmers:

The MP government is committed to the welfare of farmers. Farmers are receiving an annual ₹12,000 under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana. Additionally, the government has increased the wheat procurement price to ₹2,600 per quintal this year. To promote dairy farming, the government has also introduced financial assistance for farmers rearing 10 cows and a subsidy of ₹5 per liter for milk producers.

Major Push for Women Empowerment:

CM Dr. Yadav reiterated the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment. Initiatives include 35% reservation in government jobs and a ₹5,000 monthly incentive for women working in the readymade garments industry. To support skill development, training centers for garment manufacturing will also be set up.

Employment and Development Initiatives:

The MP government plans to recruit 1 lakh candidates for government jobs, with a special focus on police and healthcare departments. The vision is to provide employment opportunities to youth based on their skills and qualifications.

Efficient Water Management through Technology:

The Narmada-Shipra Micro-Lift Irrigation Project will lift 15 cubic meters of water per second from the Omkareshwar Reservoir to a height of 435 meters. Using state-of-the-art technology, farmers will have access to sprinkler and drip irrigation systems, ensuring higher productivity with minimal water usage.
