Heavy rainfall is occurring in several districts of Madhya Pradesh. Due to heavy rain and lightning in many districts of the state, farmers have suffered significant crop damage. Standing crops have been ruined in many districts, causing substantial economic losses to the farmers. The state government has announced that immediate surveys will be initiated in areas where farmers' crops have been damaged, and relief funds will be provided to the farmers.
On Monday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that the unpredictable rainfall has caused damage to the crops of our farmer brothers and sisters in many places, but they should not worry. I have instructed the administrative officers to start immediate surveys in areas where farmers' crops have been damaged. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that we will conduct surveys and provide relief funds to the farmers. I have instructed the necessary preparations to ensure that farmers benefit from crop insurance. He further stated that farmers should not worry, as both the government and I stand with them. If there has been damage, we will compensate for it and help the affected farmers overcome the crisis.
