MP Weather Update: Monsoon Withdrawal Brings Light Rain and Cooler Temperatures in Several Districts

As monsoon systems continue to shift, light rain is expected in several districts of Madhya Pradesh today. According to the weather forecast for October 16, rain may occur in various regions across the state. The continuous rainfall has already led to a noticeable drop in temperatures, making the chill of winter more apparent.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain in areas including Indore, Ujjain, Ratlam, Khargone, Sehore, Dhar, and Katni. Currently, two weather systems are active—one over the Arabian Sea and the other in the Bay of Bengal—causing low pressure in some regions, resulting in scattered rain.

Winter to Begin Soon

The IMD has indicated that the monsoon will fully withdraw in the coming days, bringing an end to the rainfall. Winter is expected to begin shortly in Madhya Pradesh, with the Gwalior-Chambal region being the first to experience cooler conditions. As temperatures in northern India drop, the chill will gradually spread through central India, eventually reaching southern regions. Currently, there is no sign of heat in the state.

Bhopal and Indore Weather Outlook

In the state capital, Bhopal, the weather will remain dry today, with no signs of rain. A slight dip in temperature has led to early morning fog. This week, Bhopal's maximum temperatures are expected to range between 31°C and 35°C, while the minimum temperatures will hover around 20°C to 23°C.

Indore is expected to see partly cloudy skies today, with a chance of rain or thunderstorms. However, clear skies are anticipated from tomorrow onwards. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Indore are forecasted to be around 32°C and 23°C, respectively.
