A one-day conference on "Future of Jobs" will be held on 15th January 2025 in New Delhi, with Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, in attendance. The conference is organized by the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The theme of the conference is "Shaping tomorrow’s Workforce: Driving Growth in a Dynamic World.
The primary objective of the conference is to understand the impact of technological innovations such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Automation, and Digital Tools on India's job market. It will highlight emerging sectors and job opportunities created by these advancements. These sectors include Construction, Manufacturing, Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Logistics, Hospitality & Tourism, Healthcare, Apparel & Textiles, Automotive, and Electric Vehicles (EV). The presentations will include insights drawn from pre-conference roundtable discussions held with key industry leaders from these sectors.
