On 13th November 2024, the prices of paddy (Common) remained stable across various markets in Punjab, although slight fluctuations were observed in a few markets. Let’s take a look at the paddy prices in some of the major markets of Punjab.
Ahmedgarh saw a significant arrival of 4,335 tons of paddy. The minimum and maximum prices for paddy stood at ₹2,320 per quintal, with the average (modal) price also being ₹2,320 per quintal. The paddy prices remained stable in Ahmedgarh.
Jalalabad, the arrival of paddy was 343 tons. The minimum price was ₹2,320 per quintal, and the maximum price was ₹2,325 per quintal, with the average (modal) price remaining at ₹2,320 per quintal. A slight change was observed in Jalalabad, but overall, the prices remained steady.
Bariwala witnessed an arrival of 4,168 tons of paddy. The minimum and maximum prices for paddy were ₹2,320 per quintal, and the average price was ₹2,320 per quintal. Like Ahmedgarh, Bariwala also saw no significant change in paddy prices.
Paddy Prices in Ludhiana (Salem Tabri): Ludhiana (Salem Tabri) market saw an arrival of 234.1 tons of paddy. The minimum price was ₹2,300 per quintal, and the maximum price was ₹2,320 per quintal, with the average price also at ₹2,320 per quintal. Prices remained stable in this market as well.
Paddy Prices in Tarn Taran: Tarn Taran saw a considerable arrival of 3,173 tons of paddy. The minimum price was ₹2,400 per quintal, and the maximum price reached ₹4,075 per quintal, while the average (modal) price stood at ₹3,700 per quintal.
Conclusion: Overall, on 13th November 2024, the paddy prices in most markets across Punjab remained stable, with only slight fluctuations observed in Tarn Taran. This stability indicates a balanced market for farmers and traders, where they can sell their produce at fair prices.
