Sanjay Mariwala, the Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Omni Active Health Technologies, mentioned that they are currently focusing on partnerships with over 20,000 farmers in Karnataka for cultivating marigold and red bell peppers using climate-friendly and insect-resistant hybrid seeds developed by them. They are also looking for opportunities in other states.
He stated that Karnataka's climate is favorable for most of their products, and they are gradually expanding into other regions, initiating agricultural efforts in small portions of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. Mariwala further explained that the company is considering expanding its seed testing for their hybrid seeds in several other states, including the northeastern region. The company extracts lutein from marigold flowers and zeaxanthin from red bell peppers, which are used to promote eye health.
