The 19th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme is expected to reach farmers' accounts soon, although the government has not made an official announcement yet. However, there is a strong possibility that farmers will receive this installment by February. This scheme provides farmers with ₹6,000 every year, paid in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. But did you know that having an active mobile number is essential to avail of this benefit? If the mobile number is not updated, farmers may not receive their ₹2,000 installment.
To benefit from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, farmers must have an active mobile number linked to their Aadhaar card. Once the Aadhaar and mobile number are linked, only then can farmers complete their e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) process. This process is OTP-based, meaning that an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number, and only then can the e-KYC be successfully completed.
E-KYC Process: According to the PM Kisan portal, e-KYC is mandatory for all registered farmers. If farmers are unable to complete the OTP-based e-KYC, they can visit the nearest Common Service Center (CSC) for biometric-based e-KYC. Farmers are urged to update their mobile numbers promptly to ensure they receive their installment and continue benefiting from the scheme.
