New Delhi: The Central Government is implementing various schemes for the betterment of farmers across the country. One such scheme is the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, which has been quite beneficial for economically disadvantaged farmers. Under this scheme initiated by the government, the 16th installment is now being released to farmers. Farmers are eagerly awaiting this installment. Meanwhile, there is some good news regarding the release date of the 16th installment for farmers.
To strengthen farmers economically nationwide, the Modi government initiated the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in December 2018. Under this scheme, farmers receive an annual sum of 6000 rupees, distributed in three installments of 2000 rupees each throughout the year. However, registration is required to avail of the benefits of this scheme. Farmers are now set to receive the 16th installment under this scheme.
The 16th installment may be released this month: Farmers eligible under this scheme have received payments for 15 installments so far. Last year, on November 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 15th installment under this scheme, benefiting nearly eight crore eligible farmers. Now, eligible farmers are awaiting the 16th installment. According to media reports, the 16th installment under this scheme for farmers could be released in the early months of 2024, either in February or March.
Complete these tasks to receive the installment: All eligible farmers receive the installment from the government. However, some farmers may face delays, including those who have not completed land verification. Failure to undergo land verification may result in the suspension of the installment for such farmers. Additionally, eligible farmers under this scheme are required to update their KYC (Know Your Customer) details to continue receiving the benefits.
