To uplift farmers and empower them economically, the central government has implemented several schemes. One of these is the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Farmers are eagerly awaiting the disbursement of its 16th installment. Meanwhile, the Rajasthan government has issued a significant update for farmers. According to the government, beneficiaries of the PM Kisan Yojana should complete e-KYC (Know Your Customer) by January 31, 2024. Farmers who have not completed e-KYC by this date may lose eligibility, potentially delaying the payment of the 16th installment.
To facilitate the benefits of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, to eligible families deprived so far, special camps are being organized at each gram panchayat headquarters under the Bharat Sankalp Yatra. Landholders, whose details are not registered on the portal, can register through e-Mitra or CSC (Common Service Centre).
During this process, farmers must undergo verification. According to the Agriculture Department of the Rajasthan government, beneficiaries whose land details have not been verified can visit the concerned Patwari circle or tehsil office. They can provide the land details along with the sequence number, registration number, and mobile number for verification.
Farmers who need to complete e-KYC can visit their nearby e-Mitra or CSC center and undergo e-KYC using their fingerprint. Additionally, farmers can download the PM Kisan Jio app and complete e-KYC using facial recognition. Farmers should link their bank accounts with Aadhaar or, alternatively, open an account through the additional Post Office India Post Bank to link the debit.
