PM Kisan Yojana: New Farmer Registration Begins on April 15

The Government of India has been providing financial assistance to millions of farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. So far, three special campaigns have been conducted to enroll eligible farmers in the scheme. Now, from April 15, 2025, new farmers will have another opportunity to register and avail the benefits of this scheme.
Under the PM Kisan Yojana, farmers receive ₹6,000 per year, which is transferred directly to their bank accounts in three installments of ₹2,000 each through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

Who Can Apply for PM Kisan Yojana?

Many farmers have not yet availed the benefits of this scheme due to various reasons. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recently informed the Lok Sabha that the government will launch a special enrollment drive from April 15 to include more eligible farmers in the scheme.

How to Register for PM Kisan Yojana?

4. Choose "New Farmer Registration" – Click on the "New Farmer Registration" option.
5. Enter Aadhaar and Mobile Number – Provide your Aadhaar number and mobile number, then verify using OTP.
6. Fill in Personal Details – Enter your name, address, bank account details, and other required information.
7. Submits the Application – After completing all the details, submit the form.

How to Complete e-KYC for PM Kisan?

To ensure seamless fund transfers, farmers must complete e-KYC verification:

1. Visit the official website – https://pmkisan.gov.in/
2. Go to "Farmer’s Corner" – Select the "e-KYC" option.
3. Follow the instructions – Enter the required details and complete the e-KYC process.

Who Cannot Avail PM Kisan Benefits?

Some farmers have registered but have not received payments due to the following reasons:

1. Incomplete e-KYC – e-KYC is mandatory for receiving installments.
2. Pending Land Record Verification – If land records are not updated, payments may be delayed.
3. Incorrect Bank Details – If the bank details are incorrect, funds will not be credited.
