The Government of India has been providing financial assistance to millions of farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. So far, three special campaigns have been conducted to enroll eligible farmers in the scheme. Now, from April 15, 2025, new farmers will have another opportunity to register and avail the benefits of this scheme.
Under the PM Kisan Yojana, farmers receive ₹6,000 per year, which is transferred directly to their bank accounts in three installments of ₹2,000 each through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
Many farmers have not yet availed the benefits of this scheme due to various reasons. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recently informed the Lok Sabha that the government will launch a special enrollment drive from April 15 to include more eligible farmers in the scheme.

PM Kisan Yojana: A Milestone for Farmers The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was launched in February 2019, with the first installment reaching farmers in Bhagalpur, Bihar. Since then, the government has transferred over ₹22,000 crore to 9.08 crore farmers across the country. Farmers are advised to register before the deadline to avail the benefits of this scheme.
