On November 15, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Jamui district in Bihar to participate in various events commemorating Janjatiya Gaurav Divas. This visit will mark the beginning of the 150th Birth Anniversary celebrations of ‘Dharti Aaba’ Bhagwan Birsa Munda. Around 11 AM, the Prime Minister will unveil a commemorative coin and postage stamp in honor of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. During this visit, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth over Rs. 6,640 crore, aimed at empowering tribal communities and improving infrastructure in rural and remote areas.
The Prime Minister will participate in the Grih Pravesh ceremony for 11,000 houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN). He will also inaugurate 23 Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) launched under PM-JANMAN and 30 additional MMUs under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), to enhance healthcare access in tribal regions.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate 300 Van Dhan Vikas Kendras (VDVKs), which will promote tribal entrepreneurship and strengthen livelihood options. Additionally, he will inaugurate 10 Eklavya Model Residential Schools, established at a cost of Rs. 450 crore, dedicated to tribal students.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation for the construction of 500 km of new roads in tribal areas to improve connectivity. He will also lay the foundation for 100 Multi-Purpose Centres under PM-JANMAN, which will serve as community hubs. Further, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for 25 additional Eklavya Model Residential Schools worth Rs. 1,110 crore, aimed at providing quality education for tribal children.
Inauguration of Development Projects worth Rs. 500 Crore: The Prime Minister will also launch several development projects, including 25,000 new houses worth Rs. 500 crore under PM-JANMAN, and 1.16 lakh houses worth Rs. 1,960 crore under DAJGUA. Additionally, 66 hostels under PM-JANMAN and 304 hostels under DAJGUA, costing over Rs. 1,100 crore, will be built. Other projects include 50 new Multi-Purpose Centres, 55 Mobile Medical Units, 65 Anganwadi Centres, six Sickle Cell Anemia Elimination Centres, and 330 projects for the upgrading of Ashram Schools, hostels, and Government Residential Schools under DAJGUA, valued at approximately Rs. 500 crore.
