October 21, 2024: The potato market in Uttar Pradesh is witnessing an increase in the arrivals of 'Badshah' variety potatoes, particularly in Hardoi district. Both Madhoganj and Sandila mandis are reporting a slight rise in prices for this variety. In Madhoganj Mandi, the arrivals of Badshah potatoes reached 351 tonnes. The minimum price recorded was ₹2100 per quintal, with a maximum price of ₹2150 per quintal, and a modal price of ₹2130 per quintal. Meanwhile, in Sandila Mandi, there were 335 tonnes of Badshah potatoes. Here, the minimum price was ₹2090 per quintal, the maximum price was ₹2170 per quintal, and the modal price also stood at ₹2130 per quintal.
In Visoli Mandi of Badaun district, there was the highest arrival of Desi potatoes, totaling 217 tonnes, with an average price of ₹2000 per quintal.
