Rural Development Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced that the initiatives of the Rural Development Ministry will play a pivotal role in fulfilling Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of a poverty-free India. While reviewing the ministry’s various projects on New Year’s Day in New Delhi, Shri Chouhan emphasized setting monthly goals for the ministry’s activities. He assured continued efforts to achieve these targets effectively.
Review of Other Schemes: During the review of programs such as MNREGA, PMGSY, PM-Awas, NRLM, DAY-NRLM, NSAP, and Disha, Shri Chouhan directed officials to work diligently to meet the set targets within the stipulated time frame. He stated, “Once a goal is set, achieving it becomes easier.”
Commitment to Poverty-Free Villages: Shri Chouhan expressed confidence in the Rural Development Ministry’s progress toward achieving its objectives. He assured that every effort would be made to meet the targets and bring prosperity to villages. He also extended his New Year’s wishes to the citizens of India.
