Today, on Sunday, May 12, the weather department has issued alerts for rain and hailstorms in various parts of the country, including Delhi. The Meteorological Department has forecasted the possibility of hailstorms accompanied by strong winds in some parts of eastern Madhya Pradesh Weather, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, in Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh, the weather department has issued a warning of thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rains.
Additionally, there is a likelihood of intense dust storms and rainfall with strong winds in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
According to the weather department, the national capital Delhi is likely to witness rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning on May 12. Moreover, there are chances of rain in Delhi on May 13 as well. However, from May 15 onwards, temperatures are expected to rise, with the mercury possibly soaring above 41 degrees Celsius. Currently, the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be around 38 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of approximately 25 degrees Celsius.

According to the weather department forecast for the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds (40-50 kilometres per hour) are expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Odisha, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Furthermore, areas in northwestern Rajasthan and its neighbouring regions have become the focal point of strong winds due to a cyclonic circulation. Consequently, rainfall is likely in these areas today.
