The Pusa Agricultural Science Fair, organized by the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), will take place from February 24-26, 2025, at the IARI fairgrounds. The theme for this year’s event is "Advanced Agriculture for a Developed India." Over one lakh farmers, entrepreneurs, students, and other stakeholders from across the country participate in this event annually.
The primary focus of the fair will be on agricultural schemes, which include crop diversification and integrated farming systems, entrepreneurship development among women through value addition, agricultural marketing and export, digital agriculture, and innovations by farmers. Special sessions will be held to promote entrepreneurial opportunities in agriculture for youth and women. The fair will also feature a demonstration of advanced agricultural technologies, including drones and modern equipment, aimed at promoting agricultural marketing, farmer organizations, and agricultural startups.
The fair will showcase a variety of agricultural exhibits, including crop displays, protected cultivation of flowers and vegetables, container gardening, vertical farming, soil and water testing, cut-flowers, exotic vegetables, and advanced fruit varieties. Stalls for agricultural publications will also be invited.
Pusa Farmer Awards 2025
IARI gives importance to farmers' innovations and, every year, honors 25-30 innovative farmers for their outstanding contributions to the development and dissemination of practical agricultural technologies and techniques. These farmers will be awarded the Pusa Agricultural Science Fair Awards for Innovation and Excellence in Agricultural Practices.
