Pusa Agricultural Science Fair Will Be Held Between 28 February to 1 March All You Need to Know

To empower farmers with technical knowledge and provide assistance regarding seeds and crops, the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, also known as Pusa, is organizing an Agricultural Science Fair in Delhi. According to information provided by the institute, the Agricultural Science Fair will commence on February 28th and continue until March 1st. What makes this fair special is the inclusion of various elements beneficial for farmers. The theme for this year's fair is 'Prosperous Farmers through Agricultural Entrepreneurship.

This time, the fair will be special: 

The Indian Agricultural Research Institute, also known as Pusa, is consistently involved in researching crops and technology. Simultaneously, it imparts essential knowledge to farmers, enabling them to adopt these practices and prosper. Following this approach, Pusa Agricultural Science Fair is being organized this year. This three-day event will take place in Delhi, and the inauguration will be done by the Minister of Agriculture, Arjun Munda. It has also been disclosed that this year, the fair will offer farmers access to various special seeds.

Special Distribution of Rice Seeds:

Dr. Ashok Kumar, the director of the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, mentions that Pusa continuously develops improved varieties of crops. Every year, these seeds are distributed to farmers. He states that this year, farmers will be provided with seeds of new varieties of rice. The new varieties include Pusa Basmati 112, Pusa Basmati 1509, Pusa Basmati 1718, Pusa Basmati 1847, Pusa Basmati 1850, Pusa Basmati 1886, Pusa Basmati 1728, and Pusa Basmati 1692. All these seeds will be available to farmers during the fair.

Online Booking for Seeds:

This year, Pusa Institute has introduced the facility of online booking for seeds. For this, farmers need to visit the official website of the institute www.iari.res.in and place their orders. Farmers can book any quantity of seeds for any variety of their choice. Online payments can also be made during the booking process. Upon payment, a receipt number will be provided, which can be shown at the counters during the fair to collect the seeds.
