Weather conditions across the country continue to change, with cold temperatures now limited to a few states. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), temperatures in northwest and central India may rise gradually by 2-5°C between February 15 and 18.
Arunachal Pradesh is expected to experience light to moderate rainfall and snowfall, accompanied by thunderstorms. Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Sikkim may also witness light showers. A western disturbance will remain active over the western Himalayan region from February 17 to 20, with peak intensity on February 18-19.
Delhi is likely to experience partly cloudy skies, with temperatures ranging between 12°C and 27°C. IMD forecasts light rainfall on February 19-20, which may bring some relief from rising temperatures. Additionally, light rain and snowfall are expected across Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, and western Uttar Pradesh between February 17 and 20.
Impact of the Western Disturbance: The western disturbance will remain active from February 20 to 26, bringing light to moderate rain and snowfall in the western Himalayan region and northeastern India. Overall, weather conditions are expected to remain stable across most parts of the country.
