According to the latest report from the Meteorological Department, a rain alert has been issued for Delhi and several other states starting today and continuing for the next few days. This morning, the temperature in Delhi-NCR was recorded at 38 °C. The department predicts intermittent rain throughout the day, with about a 30% chance of rainfall and winds blowing at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour, making the weather pleasant.

Relief from Monsoon Rains:

The Meteorological Department states that in the next three days, monsoon rains in Maharashtra weather, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, the northwestern parts of the Bay of Bengal, and West Bengal may lead to a drop in temperatures.

Heavy Rain is expected over the Next Five Days: During the next five days, light to heavy rainfall is expected across various parts of India. Predictions indicate rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Today, heavy rainfall is likely in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh.

Maximum Temperature Forecast:

  1. No significant change in maximum temperatures is expected in most parts of northwest India (excluding eastern Uttar Pradesh) for the next two days, followed by an increase of 2-3 °C.
  2. A decrease of 2-3°C in maximum temperatures is likely in eastern India over the next two days, with no significant change thereafter.
  3. No significant change in maximum temperatures is expected in other parts of the country.

Heat Wave, Hot and Humid Weather:

  1. Heat wave conditions may prevail in some parts of western Uttar Pradesh from June 21 to 23; in eastern Uttar Pradesh on June 21, followed by relief.
  2. Warm night conditions may occur in some parts of northern Rajasthan on June 21–22, 2024.
  3. Hot and humid weather is likely in Odisha on June 21, 2024.
