Weather conditions across India are undergoing significant changes. While temperatures are expected to rise by the end of March, several states are currently experiencing rain, snowfall, and strong winds. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast for the coming days.
According to IMD, a new Western Disturbance will become active on March 21-22. This system is likely to bring light to moderate rain and snowfall in the higher regions of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, leading to a drop in temperature and a return of cold conditions. Additionally, the plains—including Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh weather, Rajasthan, and Bihar—may witness cloudy skies and light to moderate rainfall.
The Delhi-NCR region is likely to experience cloudy weather with light rain over the next two days. This could lead to a slight dip in daytime temperatures, with the maximum temperature expected to hover around 33°C. However, from next week, temperatures are expected to rise, signaling the onset of summer.
On March 21, Uttar Pradesh is likely to experience rain accompanied by strong winds. Wind speeds are expected to range between 30-40 km/h in western UP and 40-50 km/h in eastern UP. Some areas may also witness thunderstorms and light showers.
Weather Changes in South and East India: Between March 22-24, rain is expected in parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Telangana, with a possibility of hailstorms in some areas. Light rain is also forecasted in parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka, providing some relief from the heat.
