Rainfall continues in Uttar Pradesh towards the end of September, creating pleasant weather conditions. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), several districts are expected to experience rain, thunderstorms, and lightning today. Rain has resumed in many parts of Uttar Pradesh. On Thursday, showers were reported in the capital city of Lucknow weather, Kanpur, and nearby areas, cooling the weather significantly. Rainfall was recorded in Lucknow last night as well, which brought cool winds and increased moisture in the air, leading to a noticeable shift in weather patterns across the region.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in over 40 districts of Uttar Pradesh today. This includes major cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, and Prayagraj, along with several other districts in both eastern and western UP. The department has issued a rain alert for these regions and advised residents to remain cautious.
As per IMD, the following districts in Uttar Pradesh are likely to witness heavy rainfall:
Prayagraj, Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki, Raebareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, and Kanpur Nagar are expected to see very heavy rainfall.
