Today, Wednesday, March 20, the central and eastern regions of the country are likely to experience rainfall, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Particularly, states such as weather update in bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Gangetic West Bengal are expected to witness widespread to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms. The weather department forecasts lightning and thunder in several cities along with the rain. Chhattisgarh is also anticipated to experience rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms today. This weather pattern has been persisting across most cities in the northeastern regions for the past week.
IMD alerts suggest the possibility of storms and rainfall along the northern coasts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In one of the southeastern coastal states, Odisha, heavy rainfall is expected on March 20.
According to IMD forecasts, there is a possibility of rainfall in several cities of northern India from March 20 to March 23. The impact of rainfall and snowfall is expected to be more pronounced in the northern Himalayan regions, particularly in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Additionally, Arunachal Pradesh is expected to experience heavy rainfall until March 23. On the same day, Sikkim will witness light rainfall, while Assam and Meghalaya will continue to experience heavy rainfall. Residents and authorities in these regions are advised to stay updated with weather forecasts and take necessary precautions during this period of anticipated precipitation.
