As we move further into the month of April, significant weather changes are underway in northern India, indicating a shift in the seasonal pattern. According to the Meteorological Department, from April 18th to April 21st, regions in northern India, including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, are expected to experience rainfall accompanied by lightning. Conversely, areas like Jammu and Kashmir, particularly the plains, are witnessing consistent rainfall and snowfall activities.
The intense heat usually experienced in northern India during this period has been notably absent this year, contrasting with the previous year April temperatures. A significant contributing factor to this deviation is the western disturbance, which has persistently influenced this year's weather patterns.
The anticipated rainfall comes as a relief to residents, offering respite from the prolonged dry spell and significantly contributing to agricultural activities in the region. Farmers, who have been eagerly awaiting precipitation, are optimistic about the positive impact on crop yields.
According to the latest forecast from the Meteorological Department, Delhi Weather Today is expected to experience clear skies on April 17th, with continued strong surface winds (speeds reaching 30-40 kilometers per hour). A slight increase in temperature, ranging from 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, is anticipated, with the maximum temperature expected to reach around 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 22 degrees Celsius. Additionally, a warning has been issued for rainfall accompanied by lightning in parts of Delhi NCR from April 18th to April 21st.
