The 'Rasta Kholo Abhiyan' in Jaipur district has become a major relief for villagers and farmers. Under the directions of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the administration is reopening long-blocked roads, making travel easier for rural communities. In Fagi's Lasadiya Panchayat, reopening the road from Gadura to Chakwara has reduced the travel distance by 10 kilometers, benefiting nearly 5,000 villagers. Along with reopening the road, gravel road construction is also in progress.
Campaign Nodal Officer Shri Devendra Kumar Jain stated that under the supervision of District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, three roads are being reopened in every tehsil each week. Over the past four and a half months, 863 blocked roads in villages, farms, and rural areas have been successfully reopened.
Fagi tehsil has seen the highest number of road openings, with 70 roads restored. Among them, gravel roads are being built on 40 roads, and two roads are being converted into block roads. Similarly, hundreds of roads have been reopened in Jaipur, Amer, Shahpura, Dudu, Phulera, Sanganer, Bassi, and other tehsils.
For many years, blocked roads due to encroachments have caused difficulties for farmers and villagers. Without proper access, reaching farmlands was time-consuming and costly. With this initiative, farmers can now easily reach their fields, reducing transportation challenges and expenses.
Permanent Road Construction Plans:
The district administration has instructed that newly reopened roads should be developed into gravel and concrete roads soon. This will ensure that villagers can travel comfortably during all seasons.
The 'Rasta Kholo Abhiyan' is proving to be a blessing for villages. It is not only providing relief to farmers and residents but also accelerating rural development.
