Get Information through WhatsApp Chatbot:

To simplify the process for farmers, the Ministry of Agriculture has introduced a WhatsApp chatbot. Farmers can scan the chatbot number or send a message to access detailed information about crop insurance. Through this platform, you can also download your insurance policy documents and calculate the insurance premium.

Steps to Access Crop Insurance Details:

To obtain crop insurance information via WhatsApp, follow these steps:

1. Send “HI” to the WhatsApp chatbot number (7065514447).
2. Click on the “See All” option.
3. Select “Premium Calculator.”
4. Choose the crop season.
5. Enter the name of your state and send.
6. Enter your district name and send.
7. Select your crop from the list.
8. Provide land details.
9. Receive detailed information about the insurance premium.

Documents Required for Crop Insurance:

Farmers need the following documents for registration:

1. Bank account number
2. Aadhaar card
3. Land record/Khasra number
4. Lease agreement copy (for leased farmland)
5. Ration card
6. Voter ID
7. Driving license
8. Passport-sized photograph
9. Proof of crop sowing
10. Registration on the "Meri Fasal Mera Byora" portal
