New Delhi braces for a temperature surge today, March 19, as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a clear sky coupled with an increase in temperatures. The minimum temperature is expected to hover above 12 degrees Celsius, with the mercury likely to climb to a maximum of 32 degrees Celsius. According to IMD, Delhi is set to experience the onset of summer this week, with temperatures expected to rise by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius.The city has bid adieu to the series of weather disturbances caused by western disturbances prevalent over the past few days. This morning, the air quality index in New Delhi was recorded at 355, indicating poor air quality.

- Mumbai, Maharashtra: Anticipate mainly clear skies over the bustling metropolis today. The minimum temperature is expected to remain above 23 degrees Celsius, with the maximum temperature likely to reach 33 degrees Celsius.
- Ahmedabad, Gujarat: Residents of Ahmedabad can expect clear skies prevailing throughout the day. The minimum temperature is projected to be above 22 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature may soar up to 36 degrees Celsius.
