Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will transfer financial assistance of ₹505 crore under the Sambal Yojana to the bank accounts of 23,162 beneficiaries with a single click during a program at the state secretariat on March 28. The event will be attended by Minister of Labour, Panchayat, and Rural Development Prahlad Singh Patel, along with other ministers and local representatives from different parts of the state.
The Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana is a significant initiative aimed at supporting millions of workers in the unorganized sector. Under this scheme, various financial benefits are provided:
Following the recommendations of NITI Aayog, gig and platform workers in Madhya Pradesh have also been included under Sambal Yojana. The registration process for these workers has already begun, and they are now eligible to receive all the benefits under this scheme.
Additional Benefits: Food Security and Healthcare:
Beneficiaries of Sambal Yojana are also provided Food Entitlement Cards, allowing them to purchase subsidized ration under the central and state government programs. Additionally, all Sambal beneficiaries are covered under the Ayushman Bharat Niramayam Yojana, ensuring free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh per year.
Achievements of Sambal Yojana: Since its launch on April 1, 2018, the Madhya Pradesh government has registered 1.74 crore workers under the scheme. Over 6.58 lakh cases have been resolved, and ₹5,927 crore has been disbursed in financial assistance. The registration of new workers is an ongoing process.
A Strong Social Security Initiative: The Sambal Yojana provides financial assistance from birth to death, ensuring economic security for unorganized workers. The initiative has emerged as a model welfare scheme, not only for Madhya Pradesh but for the entire country.
