Sambal yojana: ₹225 crore assistance transferred to workers families, ensuring security from birth to death

The Madhya Pradesh government today transferred ₹225 crore to 10,236 beneficiaries under the Sambal Yojana in a single click. This scheme is a significant initiative for millions of workers in the unorganized sector across the state. Under the scheme, financial assistance of ₹4 lakh is provided in case of accidental death and ₹2 lakh for natural death. Additionally, ₹2 lakh is offered for permanent disability, ₹1 lakh for partial permanent disability, and ₹5,000 for funeral expenses.

Special Benefits for Women and Children:

Sambal Yojana also provides ₹16,000 as maternity assistance to women workers. Moreover, children of workers benefit from free education under the Education Incentive Scheme. Thousands of workers, including those engaged in platform-based jobs, have been registered under the scheme and are receiving its benefits.

Comprehensive Support for Workers:

The Sambal Yojana ensures financial security for unorganized sector workers from birth to death. The scheme has been given top priority by the state government and encompasses multiple benefits, including funeral assistance, financial aid in cases of death or disability, education incentives, maternity assistance, Ayushman Bharat coverage, and ration cards.

1.73 Crore Workers Empowered: The government has extended relief under the Sambal Yojana for accidental deaths and permanent or partial disabilities. All beneficiaries under this scheme are enrolled in the Ayushman Bharat Niramay Yojana, enabling them to avail free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh annually. So far, 1.73 crore workers have been registered under Sambal 2.0, bringing transformative changes to their lives.
