According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the heatwave is expected to persist in the northern Indian states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh weather, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh starting May 21.
The nation's capital, Delhi, the weather forecast for May 21 indicates clear skies accompanied by a severe heatwave warning. The IMD has issued a red alert for extreme heat from May 21 to May 24. Although the skies may be partly cloudy at times, strong winds are also expected. Today's maximum temperature in Delhi is anticipated to reach 45 degrees Celsius, with a minimum temperature of around 29 degrees Celsius.
Throughout this week, the maximum temperature in Delhi is forecasted to range between 44 and 46 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be between 29 and 32 degrees Celsius.
