The Congress government in Telangana, under the Praja Palana program, is collecting data on farmers cultivating and in Bantayi under the Abhay Hastam scheme. This initiative includes both farmers who own their land and those who lease others' land for cultivation.
Officials mention that the application includes a column under the Abhay Hastam scheme, specifically gathering information about farmers and those cultivating land in Bantayi. The government plans to use the data collected under Abhay Hastam, a component of the Praja Palana program, to select tenant farmers eligible for financial assistance under the Raithu Bharosa scheme. This ensures financial support is provided to farmers based on their trustworthiness.
Raithu Swarajya Vedika is creating awareness among farmers leasing land in Bantayi about how to provide details about themselves in the application. In this column, farmers or tenant farmers in Bantayi need to provide details about themselves, including their name, ownership details of the land, and details about the cultivated land, including the Passbook and survey number.
Another column seeks information about agricultural laborers to facilitate their eligibility for an annual financial assistance of ₹12,000. Representatives from Raithu Swarajya Vedika emphasize the importance of providing accurate information in these columns. Bantayi tenant farmers are required to affix a tick in the Bantayi Kisan Box and provide details about the survey number of the cultivated land on the plot.
