In several major mandis across the country, soybean prices are still being recorded below the government's Minimum Support Price (MSP), raising obvious concerns among farmers. In Madhya Pradesh, big mandis like Indore, Ujjain, and Mandsaur saw soybean prices ranging from ₹3800 to ₹4351 per quintal. Meanwhile, there was a slight rise in Bhokardan mandi in Maharashtra, but the prices still remained below the MSP. Let’s take a look at today’s fresh soybean prices from major mandis.

Soybean prices today in Madhya Pradesh:

Soybean Prices in Indore Mandi: Today, Indore mandi received an arrival of 31.54 tonnes. Prices here ranged from ₹4300 to ₹4351 per quintal, with the model rate standing at ₹4320 per quintal—one of the highest rates recorded in the state today.

Soybean Prices in Bamora Mandi: Bamora mandi, soybean arrival was 0.53 tonnes. The price ranged between ₹3900 and ₹4000 per quintal, and the average model price was ₹3950 per quintal.

Soybean Prices in Bhikangaon Mandi: Bhikangaon mandi saw an arrival of 10.15 tonnes. Prices ranged from ₹3850 to ₹3900 per quintal, with a model rate of ₹3880 per quintal—making it one of the mandis with the lowest prices today.

Soybean Prices in Damoh Mandi: Damoh mandi recorded a good arrival of 12.63 tonnes. Soybean was sold between ₹3960 and ₹4000 per quintal, with the model rate at ₹3970 per quintal.

Soybean Prices in Shahgarh Mandi: Shahgarh mandi, 17.7 tonnes of soybean arrived today. The prices ranged between ₹3800 and ₹3820 per quintal, and the model rate was ₹3810 per quintal—among the lowest rates recorded today.

Soybean rate today in Maharashtra:

Soybean Prices in Bhokardan Mandi: Bhokardan mandi, 6.5 tonnes of yellow soybean variety arrived. Prices ranged from ₹4000 to ₹4150 per quintal, with the model rate at ₹4100 per quintal. While this mandi showed slightly better rates compared to the national average, they were still below the MSP.

Advice for Farmers:

  1. You can store your soybean, consider holding your stock, as prices may move closer to the MSP in the coming days. Always compare your production cost with the current prices before selling.
  2. Sending produce to mandis like Indore and Bhokardan, where prices are relatively better, might be more profitable.
  3. Selling crops below the government MSP can lead to losses. Hence, pay attention to storage and protection schemes offered under various government plans.
