State-Level Dairy Producers' Conference on April 13: Incentives for Dairy Farmers, ₹5 Per Liter Bonus Consideration

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has emphasized the need to promote cooperative initiatives to make Madhya Pradesh a leader in dairy production. He instructed that active dairy producer committees and unions in villages be organized and encouraged to boost milk production in the state.
He announced that a State-Level Cooperative Dairy Producers (Gopal) Conference will be held on April 13 in Neemuch, with Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah as the chief guest. The event will witness the execution of cooperative agreements between the State Government, MPCDF (Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Dairy Federation), dairy unions, and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).

Incentives for Dairy Farmers: ₹5 Per Liter Bonus Under Consideration:

CM Dr. Yadav stated that federations of self-help groups, dairy federations, NDDB, and other related institutions should work together to coordinate efforts. He emphasized promoting organic and cow-based products to expand market opportunities for dairy farmers and enhance their profitability.

During the meeting, discussions were held on providing a ₹5 per liter bonus to dairy producer committees and unions, which is expected to increase milk production and strengthen farmers economically. The Chief Minister also directed that dairy unions and committees from Neemuch and Ujjain divisions be invited to the conference.

Exhibition on Advanced Dairy and Livestock Technologies:

Principal Secretary of Animal Husbandry, Shri Umakant Umrao, informed that the conference will feature an exhibition focusing on breeding technologies, including sorted semen, embryo transfer technology (ETT), and cow-chip technology.
Additionally, a display of Panchgavya-based products (dairy, curd, ghee, cow dung, cow urine) will be organized, showcasing biogas, organic manure, cow-based handicrafts, phenyl, paint, and other daily-use items. The event will also feature exhibitions on silage production, hydroponics, and a mobile veterinary unit.
Exhibitions will also highlight Sanchi Dairy Products, improved breeds of livestock by the Poultry Development Corporation, and innovations in veterinary science by the Veterinary University.

Formation of 9,000 Dairy Cooperative Societies: Principal Secretary Shri Umrao stated that, as per the state government’s vision, the number of dairy cooperative societies will be increased from 6,000 to 9,000. Furthermore, 100% digitization of all dairy societies and federations will be implemented to ensure seamless operations and better efficiency in dairy production.
