New Delhi, April 23, 2024 Today, the Indian Meteorological Department forecasts clear skies in Delhi, although a continuation of brisk winds is anticipated across Delhi and its neighboring regions. The department indicates no likelihood of rainfall in the capital throughout the week, with skies expected to remain clear. However, the coming 2 to 3 days may witness a surge in temperatures, with the mercury expected to climb above 40 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Delhi today is projected to reach 38 degrees Celsius, while the minimum may dip to 22 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan brace for rain clouds after a prolonged spell of unsettled weather. As per the meteorological department, the western disturbance affecting northern regions has led to continuous disturbances in weather patterns over the past week. Consequently, several areas in states like Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan are likely to experience lightning, gusty winds (30-40 kilometres per hour), and intermittent rainfall accompanied by thunderclouds today, April 23. Cloud cover is also expected in the vicinity of these regions. The weather pattern may persist in these areas through April 26 and 27. Northern India is witnessing frequent changes in weather, with successive western disturbances impacting weather today, resulting in rainfall activities across these regions.
