Government is Providing a 60% Subsidy on Power Weeder, Power Tiller, and 4 Other Agricultural Equipment, Know Application Process

The Government of Madhya Pradesh has announced great news for farmers! Under the Agricultural Equipment Subsidy Scheme, a subsidy of up to 60% is being provided on several modern agricultural tools, including wheat harvesting machines. The aim of this scheme is to connect farmers with advanced technologies and make farming more efficient. This initiative will allow small and marginal farmers to purchase advanced agricultural equipment, reducing their farming costs and increasing their productivity. The application process started on February 11 and the last date for submission is February 18, 2025. Which Agricultural Tools Are Covered Under the Subsidy?

This scheme, the Madhya Pradesh government is providing subsidies on several modern agricultural tools, including the following:

1. Power Weeder
2. Power Tiller (8 BHP or above)
3. Power Harrow
4. Shredder/Mulcher
5. Straw Reaper
6. Reaper (Automated/Tractor-driven)

To avail of the subsidy on these tools, apply before February 18.

How to Avail Up to 60% Subsidy?

Under this scheme, the government will provide subsidies based on the category of the farmer:

1. Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) farmers will receive a subsidy of 50% to 60%.
2. Small and marginal farmers will receive a subsidy of 50% to 60%.
3. Farmers from other categories will receive a subsidy of 40% to 50%.

What Will Be the Demand Draft (DD) Amount?

A Demand Draft (DD) is mandatory to apply for this scheme. The DD amounts for the following tools are:

1. Power Weeder - ₹3,100
2. Power Tiller (Above 8 BHP) - ₹5,000
3. Power Harrow - ₹3,500
4. Shredder/Mulcher - ₹5,500
5. Straw Reaper - ₹10,000
6. Reaper (Automated/Tractor-driven) - ₹3,300

Please note that the DD must be uploaded during the application process.

Where to Get the Demand Draft (DD)?

The DD should be made in the name of the Assistant Agricultural Engineer of your district, and it needs to be uploaded during the application.

1. Payment can also be made via the online payment gateway.
2. Applications without the DD amount will not be accepted.

Required Documents for Application: To apply for the Krishi Yantra Subsidy Scheme, the following documents are required.

1. Aadhar Card
2. Copy of Bank Passbook
3. Caste Certificate
4. Copy of B-1
5. Electricity Connection Certificate
6. Passport Size Photo
7. Mobile Number

Important: Applications without the necessary documents may be rejected, so ensure that all documents are ready in advance.
