By leveraging advanced drone technology, the scheme ensures accurate surveying and mapping of residential village areas.
On December 27, 2024, 57 lakh property cards will be distributed across 46,351 villages in 10 states, including Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, as well as 2 Union Territories—Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
The SVAMITVA Scheme has revolutionized land demarcation in rural areas using drone technology and the Continuous Operating Referencing System (CORS) network to generate high-resolution maps. A centralized online monitoring dashboard ensures real-time tracking of implementation progress, while property cards are easily accessible through the DigiLocker app for digital download.
