Different parts of the country are experiencing varying weather conditions. While strong winds in North India have provided some relief from the heat, temperatures are rising in several states. On the other hand, rain is expected in some regions of South India and the Northeast.
The maximum temperature in Delhi on Monday is expected to be around 33°C, with a minimum of 17°C. On Sunday, the temperature was 1.8 degrees lower than normal. According to the Meteorological Department, strong winds will continue throughout the day, bringing slight relief from the heat.
Punjab and Haryana may experience light fog in the morning along with partly cloudy skies. However, there is no forecast for rain. The humidity level will remain slightly high, and the maximum temperature is expected to range between 32-33°C.
Rajasthan Heatwave Alert: Rising Temperatures:
Several districts in Rajasthan are witnessing an increase in heat. The weather department has issued a heatwave alert for the state and advised people to avoid going outside in the afternoon. Jaipur's maximum temperature may reach 38°C, while Jodhpur and western Rajasthan could see temperatures close to 40°C.
Rain Likely in Some States: Some parts of the country are expected to receive rainfall. West Bengal may experience light rain due to moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal. Tamil Nadu and Kerala may also see light to moderate showers. In the Northeast, Assam and Meghalaya are likely to receive rainfall today.
