The Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Rajendra Shukla, announced that the Rewa Agricultural Market will be developed as an ideal market and upgraded to an A-Grade market. To improve facilities for farmers, all development works will be completed to make the market well-organized. Mr. Shukla performed the ground-breaking ceremony for various development works worth ₹15.64 crore to be carried out under this initiative.
Mr. Shukla highlighted that agricultural production is on the rise in Rewa district. In the coming years, irrigation facilities will be expanded across 9 lakh acres of land, which will further increase production. The increased supply of grains to the markets will contribute to upgrading it to an A-grade market. This development is in line with the Chief Minister’s efforts to make the Rewa market an ideal model, and the ground-breaking ceremony marks the beginning of this project.
The Deputy Chief Minister mentioned that with the establishment of the new vegetable market, farmers have benefited from improved facilities, while traders have saved time, leading to a threefold increase in their business. He also instructed officials to prioritize other essential tasks alongside the ongoing development works at the market.
