In the coming week, northwest India is set to experience significant weather disruptions as two consecutive Western Disturbances make their way across the region. The meteorological forecast for the next five days reveals a series of weather events that will affect several states and union territories.

From the 1st to the 4th of February, Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are expected to witness light to moderate widespread rainfall and snowfall. Particularly on the 1st of February 2024, isolated heavy rainfall and snowfall are anticipated in Kashmir Valley, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, and Delhi will experience light to moderate scattered rainfall on the 1st of February, with isolated to scattered rainfall over Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan. Additionally, isolated hailstorms are likely in Uttarakhand on the same day. A moderate to intense thunderstorm, accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph, gusting to 50 kmph), is forecasted for several regions including Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh on the 1st of February. Punjab and Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi can expect strong and chilly surface winds of 30-40 kmph on the same day.

Arunachal weather like rain, snowfall and hailstorm on the horizon:

In the eastern part of the country, Arunachal Pradesh is expected to witness light to moderate scattered to widespread rainfall and snowfall from the 1st to the 7th of February. Isolated to scattered rainfall is also forecasted for West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, and Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur & Tripura during the 1st and 2nd of February. Furthermore, Arunachal Pradesh might experience isolated heavy rainfall and snowfall on the 2nd of February, with isolated hailstorms expected on the 1st of February.
