Benefits and Features of the Uttar Pradesh Free Boring Scheme The Uttar Pradesh government has introduced a scheme to offer free boring facilities to farmers for irrigation purposes. Under the UP Free Boring Scheme, all farmers will be provided with access to complimentary boring services. Primary Objective of the UP Free Boring Scheme 2024:

Eligibility Criteria for the UP Free Boring Scheme 2024:
- To qualify for the benefits of this scheme, the applicant must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
- All farmers categorized as small and marginal in the state will qualify for the UP Free Boring Scheme, guaranteeing them free irrigation facilities.
- Farmers in the general category must own a minimum of 0.2 hectares or more of agricultural land to be eligible for the scheme's benefits.
- There is no land size requirement for farmers belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes categories, allowing them to utilize irrigation facilities provided by the scheme.
- Farmers currently receiving benefits from other irrigation schemes will not be eligible for the UP Free Boring Scheme 2024 to ensure equitable distribution of benefits.

Application Process for the UP Free Boring Scheme:
- Visit the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Minor Irrigation Department.
- Upon reaching the homepage, click on the "Schemes" option.
- On the new page, click on the "Application Form for Free Boring" option.
- A downloadable application form will appear, which you need to download and print.
- Fill in all the required information in the application form and attach the necessary documents.
- Take the completed application form along with all the required documents to the local Block Development Officer or the Minor Irrigation Department office in your tehsil and submit the application form.
- After the verification process of the application, if your application is approved, you will be included in the benefits of the scheme.
