The Yogi government has taken another significant step towards the welfare of farmers. Now, farmers will receive subsidies on agricultural equipment, and the application process for the same has already started. Farmers can book agricultural equipment by 23rd October and avail the benefits of this scheme.
If the number of applications exceeds the set target, beneficiaries will be selected through an e-lottery system. Additionally, a waiting list of 50% of the target will be prepared. Selected farmers must purchase the equipment within 30 days of receiving the booking confirmation token and upload the purchase receipt, equipment photo, and related documents on the portal. For custom hiring centers and hi-tech hubs, this period will be extended to 45 days.
For agricultural equipment with subsidies ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹1 lakh, the booking fee is ₹2,500, while for equipment with subsidies exceeding ₹1 lakh, the fee is set at ₹5,000. Farmers are required to deposit the specified booking amount online at the time of application. In cases where the target is not met or the farmer is not selected through the e-lottery, the booking amount will be refunded.
To avail of the subsidy, farmers need to visit the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Department's website (http://www.agriculture.up.gov.in). After clicking on the "Book Equipment for Subsidy" link, they can fill in the necessary details and apply for various types of equipment such as agricultural protection tools, custom hiring centers, hi-tech hubs, and threshing floors.
It is important to note that farmers must apply using their own or a family member’s mobile number. Additionally, they must upload the agricultural bill on the portal within 10 days of the booking date. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the booking.
Farmers have until 23rd October to benefit from this scheme. The application window is open from 9th to 23rd October. In case of an e-lottery, details about the venue, date, and time will be provided to the applicants by the district-level Deputy Director of Agriculture.
Equipment Purchase through Portal Inventory: Farmers can purchase equipment from the inventory of registered manufacturers listed on the portal (http://www.upyantratracking.in). All listed equipment will be registered on the portal to ensure quality and reliability. The Yogi government’s initiative aims to enhance farmers' productivity by empowering them with modern agricultural tools and equipment.
