The Uttar Pradesh government is offering subsidies to farmers for the purchase of agricultural equipment. Farmers have been advised to apply through the online portal. Under this scheme, subsidies ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹20 lakh are available for various agricultural machinery.
To promote the use of modern agricultural machinery, the Uttar Pradesh government has launched the Agricultural Mechanization Subsidy Scheme. Under this scheme, farmers can avail up to 80% subsidy on equipment like agricultural drones, tractors, threshers, rotavators, power tillers, and more. Additionally, subsidies are also available for setting up vermicompost units, mini rice mills, and multi-crop units.
According to the state agriculture department, the application process for subsidized agricultural equipment has started on the official portal http://agriculture.up.gov.in. Farmers can apply online until January 30. However, these dates may vary by district. Selection of beneficiaries will be done through an e-lottery process.
Steps to Apply Online: Farmers in Uttar Pradesh who wish to purchase agricultural equipment under subsidy must visit the official government portal to apply. The deadline for applications is January 30. Districts like Sant Kabir Nagar, Moradabad, and Sultanpur have already distributed equipment to farmers via the e-lottery system.
District-wise Application and Distribution: In Sant Kabir Nagar district, 85 farmers have already received agricultural equipment under the subsidy scheme through the e-lottery system. Similarly, 57 farmers in Moradabad have benefited from the scheme. In districts like Sambhal and Amethi, waiting lists for farmers have been prepared. Other districts, including Bareilly, are actively processing applications and distributing equipment through the e-lottery method.
