New Delhi, March 29: The capital city of Delhi is likely to experience light rainfall today, Friday, March 29, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Yesterday saw a sweltering day in the capital with temperatures reaching 37 degrees Celsius. However, today's anticipated rainfall may lead to a slight drop in temperature by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. The IMD forecasts the minimum temperature in Delhi to be around 21 degrees Celsius, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius.

Weather Update in Uttar Pradesh:

Lucknow, March 29: Moving to Uttar Pradesh, the capital city of Lucknow is expected to see cloudy skies persisting today. Although the weather remains dry, daytime temperatures have been gradually rising since the festival of Holi. The minimum temperature in Lucknow today is predicted to be 22 degrees Celsius, with a possibility of the maximum temperature reaching 35 degrees Celsius. Many cities in Uttar Pradesh have already begun to experience a gradual increase in heat, with forecasts suggesting the onset of a heatwave in April.

Nationwide Weather Overview: 

India, March 29: Across other regions of the country, the IMD notes a rapid onset of summer in most parts, while continuous rainfall persists in the northeastern and Himalayan regions. Heatwave conditions are expected to prevail in northern Karnataka today, while areas in central Maharashtra and Marathwada may experience heightened heat from tonight onwards. Additionally, sudden changes in temperature may be observed in these regions. Moreover, states like Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat are anticipated to witness hotter days starting today, potentially setting new temperature records for this month.
