Increasing Farmer Interest in Medicinal Plant Cultivation
Liquorice (Mulethi) - For liquorice cultivation, well-drained deep loamy soil is ideal. It can be sown in February-March or August-September.
Shatavari - Shatavari can be planted in any season except winter. However, plants sown during the rainy season tend to grow more easily.
Kalihari (Glory Lily) - Loamy soil is best suited for Kalihari cultivation. It should be sown during the monsoon, in July or August.
Senna - Senna is sown at different times depending on the region. In North India, it is sown in November, in West India during June-July, and in South India around October-November.
